We love our parents!
Apple House Preschool gets involved with fun activities in our area! Our parents spend time “manning” the booth to share info about AH with prospective parents and to serve children and families within our community!
Our children love special events, and the Boxcar Derby is one of the favorites! In addition to this event, there are several holiday parties throughout the year. Parents bring special snacks or treats and are able to return to the classroom or event to share in the fun with their children!
There are two field trips scheduled each semester, and our parents love to attend! Parents also make arrangements to transport several children to and from field trip locations.
Co-op parents will often say that some of the most important and meaningful friendships are developed with other parents from their children’s class. These friendships continue long after their children move into elementary school and beyond.
We can count on our parents to help the school in whichever ways they are best suited! Volunteers are needed for playground maintenance during the spring and summer.
Another important aspect of cooperative schooling is serving the community. Each year Apple House participates in several charitable events ranging from food drives, Pennies for Patients, or community clean-up days – just to name a few.
